Fruit and vegetables are a huge part of my diet, I try to get my 5 a day in before 8pm, anymore I eat after then is a bonus 😀
I can never seem to find the time in the morning to sit and eat, so I use my blend active bottle and blend most greens to have on my journey to work, I find it much easier to get breakfast in that way and it takes a lot less time to make.
I do get most of veg and fruit from different supermarkets as it is a lot more convenient, but the satisfaction you get from growing something is a whole lot more rewarding. I’m no professional gardener but I do enjoy being outside a lot and from what I remember when I was younger, being here, was hard work and tired me out.
I took over my nans little patch and thought it would be a great start to growing my own variety of stuff, but I had a LOT of work ahead of me before I could grow anything. My Nan had slightly abandoned her area and it was an overgrown mess!
I will post a before and after picture!
The first picture doesn’t look as bad as what it did before I cleared it out, but you can get a rough idea. Picture it with crazy bushes everywhere. I raked in my little nephew to help and we got the area cleared in a day.
I wanted to plant something I knew would grow and within the season timeline so I decided on carrots, beetroot, spring onions, swish chard and of course runner beans.
I’m going to take on a bigger patch the other side of mine to grown more things but that will have to wait till I have more time on my hands.
I would love to get a little bench and some trees growing by my shed and I’ll be a happy twentysomething year old lady 😀
Thanks for taking a look at my blog 🙂
