I’m always on the move and I don’t really sit down in the mornings for breakfast and whilst at work I always get peck-ish. So I decided to make some healthy flapjacks to keep in a pot on the side and grab one or (some) when I’m in a rush. They’re filling and healthy & no un-natural sugars in them. They tasted amazing and they were so easy to make! I thought id share my recipe for anyone who would like to give them a go.
Cranberry, Banana & honey flapjacks
1 Table spoon of honey
As many dried cranberry’s as you like
1 Small teaspoon of butter
Pour in oats to cover the rest of your ingredients about 100 grams
*Now its the messy part*
Start to squash it all together with your hands (in a bowl) until the oats have absorbed most of the liquid ingredients – You might need to add more oats in if its very squishy.
You’ll need a baking tray about 2-3″ deep.
Some baking paper with a light layer of butter to cover it – This helps your flapjack to not stick!
I baked mine in the oven at 180 until it looked “golden” on top, this took about 10-15 minutes.
Cut into squares and hey presto you’ve got yourself some little squares of healthy happiness!
